Your uncle informs you of this shortly before his death, and after travelling to his castle you find that you must travel through time to correct these wrongdoings. Through a range of murals at your uncle's house, various past scenes must be entered, with more becoming available as you complete them. In each you must find and kill your demented relative in time.

This is a nice horror RPG adventure. The game's controls are point and click, with the interface allowing you to examine and collect objects, select a weapon, and attack potential foes by striking at a particular part of their body.

Simon the Sorcerer 2

A sequel to Simon the Sorcerer, this second game in the series gives us more mis-adventures from our teenaged sorcerer (of some sort). Thrown into another dimension by his own wardrobe, Simon starts the heroic mission (of some sort) to find -- another wardrobe that could get him back home. Equipped with his pointy sorcerer's hat (of some sort), he will also rescue the world (again) from the evil Sordid.

The two games in the series are of the most charming low-profile games ever that have captured many an adventurer's heart. It has difficult but fair puzzles, witty dialogues, and inimitable self-effacing humor and charm. A couple of things are new: the word commands (like 'talk to' and 'look at') have been replaced by Icons (a Magnifying Glass and a Mouth), and some scenes can be scrolled now, so make sure you always check the edges of every screen for new locations.

Simon the Sorcerer's Puzzle Pack

Simon the Sorcerer's Puzzle Pack is a collection of small puzzle games that go around the Simon the Sorcerer's theme. There are three games:

• Swampy Adventures - help Swampy through 50 levels of puzzles as he attempts to rescue his children from the evil Sordid.
• NoPatience - Four solitaire patience card games featuring a unique Simon the Sorcerer themed deck.
• Jumble - A new type of sliding tile puzzle - rearrange the pieces in a constantly changing animation!

• Demon In My Pocket - Your very own desktop demon to love, care for and boil in oil.

And to finish up, the Pack includes three desktop themes to use with Windows (if you have Microsoft Plus!, that is).

Elvira - a horror movie star, a witch, and your girlfriend - is in trouble. A demon Cerberus has kidnapped her in order to kill her and gain her power. To save Elvira, you arrive at the studios of Black Widow Productions, where she is being held. Unfortunately, the whole studio is filled with monsters, as the horror movie sets have turned real.

It's up to the player to enter the now real movie sets, defeat the monsters, find components to create magical spells and, rescue the B-movie hostess before the evil Cerberus can take over the Earth. Another fun game in the series.

A strange letter from him made you decide to return to your village, only to find out your father is no where to be found, and everyone is being hostile and strange. After a while you will find out evil forces have taken over the people of the village and your job is to find out how to kill some devil creatures ( like a vampire ) and figure out what truly is going on.

This rare PC conversion of a great Amiga game is arguably Horrorsoft's best adventure before they turned to the RPG genre to produce cult classics Elvira and Waxworks. As with Horrorsoft's other games, Personal Nightmare is a horror adventure that starts out peacefully with you arriving at a hotel... before things go terribly wrong. Great mouse-driven interface, plot, writing, and puzzles make this an underrated classic.

Simon the Sorcerer 1

Simon is just an ordinary boy in an extra-ordinary world. A world in which he must rescue Calypso the Wizard by embarking on a long challenging quest. The game is a point-and-click adventure, using a typical interface with words such as ‘Use’, ‘Open’, ‘Walk To’ (unlike Lucasarts’ SCUMM games, a simple click on that area of the screen won’t do) and ‘Pick Up’ (again, a double-click on the item doesn’t suffice).

The game's plot has a number of references and spoofs to fantasy and fairy tales, with the Three Billy Goats Gruff involved in a particularly significant scene. The humor is very British in places, with lots of dry sarcasm, and lots of Simpsons-esque self-references to the fact that this is a computer game. The levels are non-linear in layout, with puzzles spread across the lands. It is a surprisingly long game and the game world is quite large even by today's standards. It's beautifully drawn giving the story a magical, fairy tale quality. It was first released on 3.5 inch disks in 1993, then re-released in 1995 on CD, with voice.

Elvira: Mistress of the Dark is an adventure game. The game uses a first-person perspective in which the hero wanders around solving puzzles, and combating with undead creatures that have overrun Elvira’s Castle.

This game features dozens of different death sequences; if the cook in the kitchen kills you for example you can see your head floating in her cauldron. The game has a real-time combat system, where you have to time your attacks and blocks in order to defeat the enemy. You never know what lies in the next corner and in what freakish way your corpse will be desecrated if you die. Just make sure you don’t play this game late at night.
